The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Knollwood Tire & Wheel in honor of their second location. Knollwood has a location in Broxton and most recently opened a location in Douglas. They are located at 1122 Bowens Mill Rd SE. Knollwood Tire & Wheel’s colleagues at Douglas National Bank provided lunch at the ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of their new location. The meal was catered by local restaurant, Tip Top Deli. ONE Compelling Picture is hosting movie auditions on Friday, May 12 from 5:00PM-9:00PM for their upcoming feature production, Redwood, slated to be filmed in July. Auditions are for lead roles, background actors, and extras. Interested people must sign up for auditions at redwoodthemovie.com, and they can register for in-person or virtual auditions. The James M. Dye Foundation’s third Birdies for Bucks Golf Classic was another huge success and will have a direct impact on South Georgia State College students seeking to earn a college degree.
