Speed kills. And it looks like Coffee Middle School’s Kellah Smith is going to be lethal. Smith attended the Georgia Middle School Championships at Parkview High School in Lilburn on April 21 and 22, 2023 and turned in one of the fastest times in both the nation and state for a 6th grader in the 3200 meters. There were over one hundred schools and track clubs across the state of Georgia. Smith competed in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run. Allen Eugene Harless was born to Aubrey and Helen Harless on March 19th, 1949, in Shelbyville, Illinois. During his school years he participated in 4-H and other clubs. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1967. In 1971 he graduated from The University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Husbandry.
