Allen Eugene Harless was born to Aubrey and Helen Harless on March 19th, 1949, in Shelbyville, Illinois. During his school years he participated in 4-H and other clubs. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1967. In 1971 he graduated from The University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Husbandry. While a student there he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. He was also preceded in death by his son: George Kirkland, III. Mr. Figueroa was born October 18, 1953 to the late Luis Figueroa and the late Carmen DeJesus. A traffic stop at the intersection of Ward Street and Chester Avenue yielded a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and two arrests. According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, officers stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche for failure to maintain lane. Two occupants were in the vehicle — Tonya Renee Lopez, 40, the driver, and a passenger, Wanda Marie Hollinger, 55. Vernica Crockett, a native of Nicholls and E-911 director for Coffee County, was sworn in by Governor Brian Kemp on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 along with 4 others for the Georgia Emergency Communications Authority Board. This ceremony took place at the governor’s office in Atlanta. Mrs. Acorn was born February 24, 1945 to the late Elmer Stanford Carver and the late Elizabeth Katie Hopkins Carver.
