A major initiative launched by Mercer University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to improve pediatric health care in rural Georgia will initially involve hospitals, pediatricians and school systems representing 11 rural Georgia counties. The South Georgia State College Hawks pulled away late in the second half Saturday afternoon to defeat the Andrew College Tigers 73-53. SGSC (21-7, 10-4 GCAA) was led by Kyric Davis who finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals. Carlos Hart had 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and seven steals. The Hawks held the Tigers to 35.1 percent shooting for the game.
