Curtis Edward Gurley, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Millwood on Saturday, February 4, 2023. He was born in Atkinson County on February 1, 1932, to the late Clyde Edward Gurley and Fannie Pearson Gurley. He proudly served in the United States Army as Staff Sergeant from 1953 until he retired in 1973. Mr. Gurley loved to be outdoors. On most days, you could find him outside working with flowers, mowing grass, or riding his scooter. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
