South Georgia State College’s men’s basketball team pulled away in the second half Saturday afternoon to defeat Florida Gateway College 80-55. In addition, the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association has named SGSC’s Carlos Hart as the Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The Hawks (7-3) took advantage of a strong defensive performance in Saturday’s win. SGSC held Florida Gateway College to 27 percent shooting and forced a total of 36 turnovers.
