Mrs. Mary Patricia Roe Vazquez, age 54 of Axson, Ga. passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at South Ga. Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga., following an extended illness. She was born in Orlando, Florida on November 28, 1966, daughter of Perry Travis Roe and Patricia Floyd Roe. Mrs. Vazquez worked at Carolina Skiff in the fiberglass repair department. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. He was born in Atkinson County, Ga. on December 12, 1950, to Thomas and Annie Bell Douglas Vickers. Mr. Vickers made his home in Pearson, where he raised his family and was a staple in the community, serving on the City Council and as Mayor of Pearson. The college’s online programs were recently recognized among the top in the nation for online community colleges by OnlineSchoolsGuide.net. Wiregrass Tech plans to develop an Online Faculty Center that would upgrade the virtual classroom experience, expand the programs offered online, and increase student accessibility.
