Mrs. Carolyn June Mancil Busby, age 75 of Douglas, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2021 at Bacon County Hospital in Alma following a short illness. Mrs. Busby was born December 2, 1945 to the late Woodrow Mancil and the late Louise Kitchens Mancil. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Busby. Mrs. Busby, a native of Coffee County, had been a radio dispatcher for Baxley Police Department for many years. She had also been employed with Ship ‘n Shore as a seamstress in Baxley. Three Georgia men were indicted today by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Georgia and charged with hate crimes and the attempted kidnapping of Ahmaud Arbery. The indictment also charges two of the men with separate counts of using firearms during that crime of violence.
