Paul Jimenez, age 84, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at Dorminey Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia. Mr. Jimenez was born on August 6, 1936 in Ramsey, Texas the son of the late Victor Garcia-Jimenez and Jesusa Salazar. Mr. Jimenez retired from the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Lott Jimenez, brother, Jessie Jimenez and three sisters, Angie Hermann, Lucy Contreras and Mona Delos Santos. On November 19, 2020, Deputy Brady Courson initiated a traffic stop on a silver Dodge Dart for failure to maintain. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Nicholas King of Adel, Ga. The vehicle was searched due to a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A scale, small baggies, and suspected methamphetamine was found inside of the vehicle. King was transported to Coffee County Jail and charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended license and possession of methamphetamine. King appeared before the Magistrate Judge for his first appearance bond and it was denied. On…

On December 4, 2020 Coffee County deputies were dispatched to meet a complaint in reference to an alleged child molestation. Deputies notified the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office on call CID detective. An investigation was opened and as a result of that investigation, detectives arrested Daniel Hernandez, 36, of Nicholls, GA and charged him with child molestation. Hernandez appeared before the Magistrate Judge for his first appearance bond hearing and was denied bond.

To ensure a safe place for our patients and our caregivers, effective December 9, 2020, CRMC has determined that it is necessary to once again implement temporary patient visitor restrictions. Douglas public safety agencies will host a Community Toy Drive, 8am-12Noon, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Walmart.
