Mrs. Carver was born on June 8, 1940 in Newnan, Georgia the daughter of the late Amos Errett Hayes and Kathryn Johnson Hayes. Mrs. Carver was a graduate of Georgia State University, retired mortgage loan officer, and was a member of First Congregational Christian Church, Douglas, Georgia. The City of Douglas and Waste Industries will offer two free residential Junk Drop-Off Days in November to help citizens rid properties of excess trash and large items. The upcoming dates will be Saturday, November 7 and 21, 2020 at the City Pole Yard located at 670 S. Pearl Avenue from 8:30am-12 noon. Citizens must be in the drop off line prior to 11:45am.
