For this week’s recipe, I found a recipe for “Skillet Spaghetti.” You will need the following ingredients: 6 ounces of soy crumbles, ½ medium onion, chopped, 3/8 cup green pepper, chopped, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained, 1 ¼ cup water, ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon sugar, 4 ounces spaghetti, crumbled, and ½ cup mozzarella cheese. Coffee County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Committee Chairman Walt Pridgen is serving on the 2020 Georgia Farm Bureau YF&R Committee. This is the first year of a two-year term on the committee for Pridgen, who manages 11 poultry houses, grows hay and raises cattle as a part of a collaborative farm with his father, Jeffrey, and uncles Derek and Marshall. Walt is president of South Georgia Cattlemen, speaks to other organizations to promote agriculture and volunteers as a judge for area FFA events. Beginning Fall Semester, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will be offering a new Associate of Applied Science Degree in Occupational Studies. Wiregrass President Dr. Tina K. Walker A. Barnes, 16, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Walker was born October 2, 2003 to Christopher Barnes and Lori Thomason Barnes. Walker was a kind-hearted young man who would lend encouragement to others. Whether on the baseball field or at school, he always enjoyed the camaraderie with friends. Paige Peacock Schine was born September 23, 1946 to Huvis Ashley and Martha Tanner Peacock in Alma, Georgia. She passed away July 12, 2020. At Bacon County High School, Paige was head majorette with the marching band and the leading scorer on the Lady Red Raider basketball team. On July 10, 2020, Coffee County deputies responded to a residence on Kalani Road about a stolen vehicle. Deputies spoke to a female subject at the residence and was advised that someone had stolen her boyfriend’s truck. Deputies spoke to the owner of the truck who described the truck as a 1992 green Nissan 4wd. Deputies later observed a fence in the area surrounding a pond on the Nicholls Road that had been damaged and upon further investigation they observed a vehicle in the pond.
