The Coffee County School Nutrition Program will continue participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for Free Meal Reimbursement during the 2020-2021 school year. Mr. Larry Eugene Highsmith, age 78, of Pearson, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Atkinson County, Mr. Highsmith was born in Brunswick on June 15, 1942, son of Murray Highsmith and Adeline McGovern. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
