In response to the concerns with COVID-19, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is providing potential new students and returning students a way to apply for summer semester from the comfort of their home. Any student not currently enrolled, any new student or any current graduating high school dual enrollment student wishing to begin classes at Wiregrass for Summer Semester can apply online during Free Application Week March 23- 27. The Southeast Health District has opened a specimen point of collection (SPOC) centers for COVID-19 testing for individuals who have been referred through their primary care provider. One such testing center is located in the parking lot of Coffee Regional Medical Center. It is a drive-through facility; those who will be tested will not leave their cars. The COVID-19 test is a swab procedure that will be conducted while individuals remain in their vehicles. The test takes less than one minute to complete.
