John Alfred Wills, age 85, of Bristol, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Hospice Satilla, Waycross, Georgia. Mr. Wills was born on November 28, 1934 in Mountain City, Tennessee, the son of the late Darnell Clyde Wills and the late Mae Bell Dickson Wills. He was a retired supervisor with the DeKalb County Water Department after fifteen years and was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force serving for twenty-one years. On January 27, at the monthly school board meeting, the winners of the annual Christmas card contest, sponsored by Satilla REMC, were announced. This contest is designed for students in grades K-5 in Satilla’s service area to create and share their own uniquely designed Christmas card to go along with the theme, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” This year, Satilla received approximately 2,000 entries from elementary and primary schools within the service area. At the monthly school board meeting, which was held on January 27, the board discussed the Smart Change Program, a program that goes hand in hand with the Satilla REMC Foundation, an organization founded and sponsored by the Satilla REMC.
