Mr. Willie Jacob “Jake” Wright, age 82 of Douglas, passed away early this morning, January 29, 2020, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Wright was born September 27, 1937 to the late William C. “Bill” Wright and the late Rev. Ola Nipper Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. McQueen Wright and a daughter, Debbie R. Robinson. Mr. Wright was a native of Coffee County. He has worked as a carpenter with Coffee County Mill Works. Survivors include: Son: Bobby W. Vernon, Georgia, the son of the late Emmett Parker Thompson and the late Rachael Anderson Thompson. Mr. Thompson was retired production supervisor in the mobile home industry, a veteran of the United States Army, member of Northside Baptist Church and attended Rocky Pond Baptist Church. Miss Quenzer was born on January 20, 1948 in Connersville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frederick Jacob Quenzer and the late Patti Bernece Perry Quenzer. The company provides clinical site locations for Wiregrass students, participates in an advisory role for the program, and has recently donated $25,000 to the college for the program.
