Roosevelt Holliman was born on July 11, 1932 to the late Georgia Mae Holliman in Cadwell, Georgia. Mr. Holliman passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice. Roosevelt retired from the City of Douglas after working there for 20 years. He was well known in the community and was loved by everyone who knew him. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office captured a fugitive from justice Thursday afternoon. Deputies captured Julian Albert Minix, who was wanted for burglary and several theft by taking incidents, Wednesday afternoon in a location off the Willacoochee Highway after they received information that led officers to the location. Sheriff Doyle Wooten and his officers extend their thanks to the community for stepping forward to help them locate these individuals and get them off the streets so they won’t victimize any more hard-working citizens.
