Free Application Week will be held on each campus June 17 through June 20. Any new student who applies in person during the week starting June 17 will have the application fee waived. Career Exploration Camp begins at Wiregrass Tech next week Parents may register students for Wiregrass’ Career Exploration Camp happening this June at the Coffee Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. The camp will be open for upcoming 5th – 8th graders. The camp will be held June 11 and 13 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The cost of the camp is $45 and includes all class materials. Passion for wildlife earns SGSC student internship with DNR Emily Knowles, an upcoming senior at South Georgia State College (SGSC), is using her summer to gain valuable experience to benefit her in a future career. Emily will graduate from SGSC in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree and plans to continue her education to earn a master’s degree in wildlife biology. Mrs. Lillie H. White, age 83, of Axson, passed away Saturday, June 01, 2019 at her home in Axson, Ga. following an extended illness. Survivors include: Sons Rodney White and wife Diane of Axson and Wayne White and wife Susan of Axson; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Timothy Donald Frazer, age 60, of Willacoochee, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Frazer was born on September 25, 1958 in Muscogee County, the son of the late William Addison Frazer and Helen Lenora Holt Frazer. He was a self-employed tile mason. Survivors include his daughter, Jenifer Lynn Frazer of Columbus; son, Douglas Frazer of Tampa, Fla.; special friend, Joan Youngblood of Willacoochee. Memorialization is by cremation.
