Mr. Bryan James Aldridge, age 52, of Douglas, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Aldridge was born on June 6, 1966 in Douglas to the late James Manning Aldridge and Kay Paulk Aldridge. In an effort to motivate students to strive for academic excellence, the LIA Foundation (Love In Action), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, held a drawing to donate a 50-inch TV, three bicycles, three PlayStation 4 gaming systems and other toys to children who showed improvement academically and/or behaviorally in class. Westside Elementary, Satilla Elementary and Coffee Middle School submitted names for the drawing. On December 19, 2018, 14 children received their “gifts of love” for the holidays.
