Shirley Elaine Salter, age 62, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Salter was born on January 30, 1956, in Seminole County, Georgia the daughter of the late Leon Howard Cross and the late Eddie Dean Hall Cross. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Dorothy Spivey, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Select Speciality Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. Mrs. Spivey was born on September 3, 1943, in Tifton, Georgia the daughter to the late Truitt Edward Fowler and Mary Agnes Parrish Fowler. At the regular City Commission meeting on Monday, July 23, 2018, Brice Grantham, was recognized by Mayor Tony Paulk and the City Commission for becoming the 2018 World Fitasc Junior Champion. Grantham recently returned with the world title from the World Fitasc Championship at BTC St. Lambert Gun Club in Fourdrain, France. Brice is currently Team USA’s Junior Team Captain.
