Ada Ludell Davis, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on February 9, 1940, in Pearson, Georgia the daughter to the late Clayton Calvin Bowen and Lola Spivey Bowen. She worked as a waitress and attended Southview Church of God. On Monday, July 9, officers with the Douglas Police Department gave back to the community by helping out during the Recreation Department’s cleanup day at Emma Ward Park. Coffee County Sheriff’s investigators have charged a 34-year-old woman with murder in connection to the death of a toddler that occurred earlier this year. Deputies responded to a residence off Ron’s Lane just prior to 6 p.m., March 6, 2018, in reference to a two-year-old child not breathing.
