William Franklin Goodwin was convicted of multiple criminal sexual acts against a minor. Goodwin has failed to maintain the requirements of his sex offender status after moving from the address where he was registered in Coffee County without notifying the sheriff’s office. He is also currently serving a probation sentence and has failed to maintain the requirements of his probation. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has a secured an arrest warrant for Goodwin for failure to register address change of a sex offender. At the City Commission meeting on Thursday, May 31, 2018, the Douglas-Coffee County Parks & Recreation Track team was recognized by the Mayor and City Commission for their great performance at the GRPA State Track meet. The DCCPRD Track team represented Douglas and Coffee County at the GRPA State Track meet that was held on May 4 & 5, 2018, in Commerce, Georgia. The team competed against hundreds of Recreation Department youth from across the state.
