The City of Douglas along with other cities throughout the state of Georgia did their part to bring the Christmas spirit to patients at behavioral health hospitals this year. On Dec. 6, 2017, the Douglas Fire Department and officials from the City of Douglas delivered a check in the amount of $891.76 to Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The Satilla Rural Electric Membership Corporation through its Round Up program has made another wonderful gift to Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation North. Reba Quirk, president of the Memorial Satilla Health (MSH) Auxiliary, made a significant contribution recently on behalf of the organization to the Memorial Satilla Health Auxiliary Endowment Scholarship at South Georgia State College (SGSC). The scholarship was established in 1983 and is awarded to SGSC students who are majoring in nursing. Accepting the check was SGSC President Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers.
