Mr. William F. (Bill) Goodman, Jr., age 90, of Douglas, GA passed away Wednesday night, April 26, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Goodman was born October 10, 1926 to the late William F. Goodman, Sr. and the late Myrtle Dean Goodman. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Don Goodman, Bobby Goodman and Harold Goodman, and a sister; Nancy Peake. Mr. Goodman was a native of Adwolfe, VA. Mrs. Nancy Marie Mizell Douglas, age 74, of Douglas passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 25, 2017, at Hospice Satilla Hospice House of Waycross, following an extended illness. She was born July 18, 1942 to the late Sid Mizell and the late Fannie Delk Mizell. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Etta Wilson and two brothers, Roan Mizell and Spencer Mizell. A 26-year-old Douglas woman faces domestic violence charges after allegedly beating her ex-boyfriend during a Wednesday incident before tossing a container of weed killer through a window at his home. Deputies responded to a residence off Highway 32 East around 1 p.m., May 3, in reference to a domestic dispute. The victim stated the offender, identified as Amanda Katherine Davis, entered his home and began hitting and scratching him.
