South Georgia State College has been awarded a grant from the University System of Georgia to enhance education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The grant application was created through the efforts of Rauf Tailony, Ph.D., MIME, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Brandi Elliott, Associate Vice President of Student Success, and Charles Johnson, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, who submitted the application to the University System of Georgia, in order to better support students enrolled in SGSC’s STEM and Mechanical Engineering Technology courses. Who is poisoning dogs near Highway 221 North in Douglas? Rebekah and Troy Ladouceur and Sabrina Carver have all lost dogs from what they believe to be poison around their neighborhood. Both of these families live near or on Weeks Road and Tyson Road in Douglas, not far off Highway 221 North. According to these families, animals in the area have been dying rapidly due to poisoned food for close to a year now. A Glynn County, Ga., woman who was a large-scale meth trafficker and also worked with a corrupt guard to smuggle drugs into prison has been sentenced to nearly 30 years in federal prison. Rachael P. A total of 672 South Georgia State College students have earned a spot on the Fall 2023 Academic Recognition Lists, according to an announcement today by Interim Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs, Sara Selby. 189 students earned a spot on the President’s List, 186 on the Dean’s List, and 297 on the Academic Honors List.
