Mrs. Bonnie Chaney Worth, age 68, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Monday morning, December 8, 2025, at Memorial Health University Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, following a recent illness.
Bonnie was born January 10, 1957, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Willis A. Chaney and Anna Lee Porter Chaney. She was a bank teller at Southeastern Bank in Nicholls, Georgia, for a number of years. She and her husband, James “Danny” Worth, also owned and operated Bonnie’s Thrift Store in Alma, Georgia, and later in Nicholls, Georgia. She loved her Lord and Savior and attended Iron Road Holiness Church for many years. She found great joy in her church, her church family, and singing for the Lord. Her love for Jesus was shown in all she did as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren, and her precious great grandbabies.
Along with her parents, Bonnie was greeted in heaven by her two baby girls, Stacey and Melissa Worth, as well as her two sisters, Betty Merritt and Brenda Thigpen.
Bonnie leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, James “Danny” Worth; 2 sons, Ted Marcus Worth, and wife Shanda, of Mora, Georgia, and James Michael Worth of Douglas Georgia; a daughter, Danielle Michelle Worth of Douglas, Georgia; 2 grandsons, Dalton Worth, and wife Candid, of Mora, Georgia and Logan Worth, and wife Ansley, of Hickox, Georgia; 2 great grandchildren, Brinleigh Worth and River Worth; a brother, Willis Aaron Chaney of Douglas, Georgia; 3 sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews and extended family members, as well as a special friend, Dexter Tims.
Bonnie’s family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral will begin at 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Hersey officiating and Rev. Jimmy Hersey giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include Dalton Worth, Logan Worth, Shayne Belcher, Ryan Belcher, Aaron Hatten, Anthony Chaney, Dexter Tims, and Bryan Chaney.
