Mrs. Carolyn Moore Adams, age 85, a lifelong resident of Douglas, Georgia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, May 8, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent decline in health.
Mrs. Adams was born in Douglas, Georgia, on April 1, 1941, to the late James and Frances Vickers Moore. She was a graduate of Coffee County High School. She went on to marry the love of her life, the late A. W. Adams, Jr., and spent her life in the most meaningful way as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was of the non-denominational faith. Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Williams; a granddaughter, Tara Adams; a sister, Janice Harper, and a brother, Jimmy Moore.
Mrs. Adams leaves behind four children: Teresa Adams of Martinez, Georgia, Robin Adams of Douglas, Georgia, Misti Hardy and husband, Mike, of Grovetown, Georgia, and Nikki Adams of Douglas, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Jordan Adams, Amber Williams, Alex Williams, Doug Williams, Shannon Williams, Chance Hardy, and Connor Hardy; four great grandchildren: Trinity Adams, Brantley Adams, Hayden Fyffe, and Levi Williams; a special nephew, Tracey Moore’ along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Adams on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will follow. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM for one hour prior to the funeral service in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel.
Active pallbearers will include Jordan Adams, Brantley Adams, Mike Hardy, Chance Hardy, Connor Hardy, and Randy Stallings.
