Officers with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Chavoski Williams, 33, of Douglas, following an investigation into disturbing alleged online communications with multiple juveniles.
On February 18, 2026, detectives with CCSO Sex Offender Unit were contacted by agents with the Department of Community Supervision regarding information uncovered during a comprehensive compliance search. Agents learned that Williams had been in communication with minors.
In one exchange, the victim clearly identified herself as 14 years old and Williams falsely claimed to be 17 and proceeded to request secrecy. The encounter quickly escalated into explicit and predatory language, including references to physical intimacy and sexualized contact.
During the investigation, Williams admitted communicating with approximately six underage individuals over the previous week and a half. He further admitted he knew the juvenile in question was 14 years old at the time of the exchange.
Williams was arrested on scene and transported to the Coffee County Jail, where he is being held on charges of Obscene Internet Contact with a Child (14–15 years of age, offender 18 or older) as well as a probation violation. Each charge carries a potential sentence of one to 10 years in prison if convicted.
“Let me be clear. If you’re even thinking about harming a child, you are not welcome in this county. Not now. Not ever. We will find you, arrest you, and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” says Sheriff Fred Cole.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming pending forensic analysis.
