Charles Davis, age 82, of Broxton, Ga, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2026, at Vista Park in Douglas, GA. He was born on January 19, 1944, the son of the late Mr. Tim Davis and the late Mrs. Marie Douglas Davis.
His survivors include: his beloved wife, Peggy Sue Davis of Broxton, GA; three sons: Tim (Leslie) Davis of Douglas, GA, Jason (Jordon) Hutchison of Lake City, FL and Charles Davis II of Kingsland, GA; two daughters, Tina Hutchison of Douglas, GA and Bridgette Greene of Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren: Chloe, Trent, Jasmine, Madison, Jason Jr., Payton, Anlye, Dylan, Christian, Christopher, and Austin; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Harvey and Ann Palmer; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Davis; mother, Marie Douglas Davis; two sons, William Davis and Thomas Davis; and one sister, Linda Faye Riggins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will include: Trent Davis, Christian Davis, Peyton Dickerson, Peyton Horton, Terry Spivey, and Jason Hutchison Jr.
