Charles Lee Johns, age 80, of Millwood, GA, passed away suddenly in Cordele, GA. He was born on November 25, 1945 the son of the late Mr. Albert Lee Johns and the late Mrs. Hazel Chaney Johns.
His survivors include: three daughters, Brenda (Mike) Bryan-Pike of Millwood, GA, Denise (Raymond) Crosby of Axson, GA, and Cindy (Jimmy) Lee of Blackshear, GA; five grandchildren, Morgan (Chris) Campbell of Douglas, GA, Cohen (Shelly) Crosby of Wray, GA, Jonathan (Hannah) Crosby of Douglas, GA, Taylor (Normandy) Lee of Blackshear, GA, and Dalton (Lia) Lee of Blackshear, GA; four great-grandchildren, Ella Crosby, Charlie Crosby, Haley Crosby, and Hazel Crosby; two sisters, Linda (Wendell) Grantham of Douglas, GA, and Frances (Don) Phinazee of Douglas, GA; one brother, Ernest (Beverly) Johns of Douglas, GA; fur baby, Little Man; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Constance Johns; father, Albert Lee Johns; mother, Hazel Chaney Johns; two brothers, David Johns and Melvin Johns; one sister, Joann Hilliard; and one granddaughter, Charlie Nacole Bryan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gene Chaney, special speaker Steven Burke, and special speaker Johnny Wayne Jowers.
Song selections by the family: “Fishing in the Sky”, Fishing with Angels” , “Daddy’s Hands” and “Stroll over Heaven”.
Active pallbearers will include: Cohen Crosby, Jonathan Crosby, Dalton Lee, Joseph Moore, Albert Watson, Lee Johns, Justin Johns and Raymond Johns.
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that all donations be made to the Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County.
