Mr. Charlie Nipper, Jr., age 67, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Monday afternoon, November 24, 2025, following a recent illness.
Charlie was born November 29, 1957, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Charlie Nipper, Sr. and the late Louetha McKinnon Nipper. He was a heavy equipment operator for Douglas Electric Company where he retired after many years of faithful service. He was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed deer hunting and working with tractors, but he found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren.
Charlie leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Diane Smith Nipper of Douglas, Georgia; 2 children: Charlie Dakota Nipper and wife, Autumn, of Hahira, Georgia, and Schylar Cheyenne Hathaway and husband, Raymond, of Dudley, Georgia; 2 grandchildren: Charlie Laurrainne Nipper of Hahira, Georgia, and Harrison Grant Hathaway of Dudley, Georgia; a sister, Judy Dombrowski of Douglas, Georgia; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Charlie’s family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, November 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Bro. Keith Smith and Bro. Donald Ivey Stalvey officiating, and Cheyenne Hathaway, Candace Stalvey and Chris Malphus will give eulogies. Musical selections of “Patches”, “Like a Rock”, and “Where the Rainbows Never Die” will be shared from the recorded music of Clarence Carter, Bob Seger and the Steeldrivers.
