Mr. Chester Carl Parrott, age 68, of Ambrose, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.
Chester was born May 27, 1958, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Morris Carl Parrott and the late Jackie Brown Parrott. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being outdoors whether it was riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, or going to the beach, but his favorite activities were woodworking and spending time with his family. He made his career as a truck driver for Walmart and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Chester was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Carl Parrott; a sister, Bonnie P. Rhoden; and a twin Brother, Lester Parrott.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, Tracey Haddock Parrott of Ambrose, Georgia; two children: Summer P. Brigmond and husband, Chris, of Ambrose, Georgia, and Lisa P. Spivey and husband, Kevin, of Ambrose, Georgia; six grandchildren: Jacob Parrott and wife, Kayla, Brittney Parrott, Raelyn Spivey, Brantley Brigmond, Walker Brigmond and Stella Spivey; seven great grandchildren: Aligrace, Kadyn, Sylus, Brock, Westyn, Hardy, and Carlee; two brothers: Wesley Parrott and wife, Linda, of St. Mary’s, Georgia, and Nathan Parrott and wife, Kim, of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Bit P. Faulk and husband, Louie, of Jacksonville, Florida; along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held to honor Chester on Wednesday afternoon, August 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Mayes officiating. Musical selections will include “The Anchor Holds” from the recorded music of Ray Boltz, “The Old Rugged Cross” from the recorded music of Alan Jackson, and “What a Day That Will Be” from the recorded music of Drew Parker & the Isaacs. Interment will follow in Satilla Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends in the chapel for one hour prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will include Chris Brigmond, Kevin Spivey, Jacob Parrott, Brantley Brigmond, Walker Brigmond, and Dustin Musgrove.
