According to a press release from the Douglas Police Department, on December 24, 2025, at approximately 6:41 p.m., officers with the Douglas Police Department responded to a traffic collision on U.S. Highway 441 South involving a Jeep and another vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers rendered aid to the individuals involved in the accident. A female occupant of the Jeep was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
At this time, no further details are being released as the investigation remains ongoing.
