A December 4, 2025, domestic incident went badly for all parties involved when both the victim and the alleged aggressor ended up getting arrested – albeit nearly two weeks apart.
An incident report states that on December 4, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies answered a call in reference to a welfare check at a mobile home park on Highway 32 East. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Summer Storm Presley, 35, of Douglas, hiding in the woods. She said she had been hiding from her boyfriend, Calvin Dale Duke, 37, of Douglas, because she was afraid of him, according to the report. She said that Duke had been riding around looking for her. Several days prior, Presley said that Duke had pinned her down and choked, punched, and slapped her, according to the report. She had marks consistent with such an incident.
Duke was not at the scene. However, Presley had an active warrant out of Chatham County. She was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail on that warrant.
Officers ultimately took Duke into custody on December 15, 2025, on charges of battery and a parole violation. He remains in the Coffee County Jail.
