The production crew filming the movie Taksil wants everyone to know that today’s schedule includes filming scenes involving gunfire and an ensuing police response. If residents near the location hear gun shots and see police activity, do not be alarmed.
The scene will be filmed at 3751 East Baker Highway – a few miles east of town on Highway 158. The gunfire will be simulated; no live rounds will be used. Police vehicles, uniformed officers, and other emergency vehicles will be present.
Filming is expected to last from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the simulated gunfire beginning around 8 p.m.
Crews are filming scenes from the movie throughout Coffee and Bacon counties. Its release date is scheduled for later this year.
