Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will be accepting new student applications for Fall semester on Free Application Day, June 25.  Any new student who applies in person on this day will have the application fee waived.  Free Application Day will be held on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus, Coffee Campus, Cook County WDC Campus, Moody AFB Extended Campus, and the Valdosta Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fall semester classes begin August 18.

Students interested in taking classes during Fall semester should apply in person that day and complete an application for admissions and apply for financial aid if needed.  New student advising and registration will begin on July 6 and last until August 17 for all new students who have been accepted for admission.

Wiregrass is excited to be able to offer new programs this Fall.  An Associate of Applied Science degree has been added to the existing Opticianry program on the Valdosta campus.  Students who have completed the diploma program can return to Wiregrass and finish the degree level core required to earn their Associates of Applied Science degree.

Starting this Fall, students can enter the brand new Hospitality program on the Valdosta campus.  This covers Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management and is offered as an Associate of Applied Science degree, diploma, and technical certificate of completion.

“We are pleased to offer Hotel Restaurant Tourism Management programs this fall semester. This industry is extremely strong in our service area and we are excited to have the opportunity to enhance the industry by providing these educational avenues,” shared Dr. Jammie Wilbank,s Dean of Professional Services. “Students will be able to enroll in the program at the degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit levels. The industry leaders have been very supportive of this program and we look forward to many fruitful partnerships that will be beneficial to the industry.”

New this Fall to the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus is the Business Management program. Graduates of this program receive a Business Management degree with a specialization in General Management, Service Sector Management, or Human Resource Management.
