A Broxton man was arrested earlier this month for allegedly falsely reporting that people were attempting to breaking to his home on Sam Jones Road.

According to an incident report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, around 6 p.m. on October 16, 2023, Jaeger Paulk, 36, reported that several individuals were attempting to break into his home. When the deputy arrived, he didn’t see anyone in the area. The report states that Paulk said he did not want to name who the individuals were and that he had also contacted the FBI.

According to the report, the deputy asked Paulk how long it had been since he had taken methamphetamine. The report says Paulk replied that he couldn’t recall. The deputy then left the scene.

Around midnight, Paulk called 911 and reported the same thing. This time, Paulk showed the deputy a video of people outside of his home. The report says that Paulk pointed out fog as being a person.

The deputy noticed that Paulk appeared to possibly be under the influence of some kind of illegal drug. He was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct during a 911 call by using obscene/vulgar language to intimidate or harass. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail where he remains.
