On October 10, 2020, the Broxton Police Department requested the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division assist them in an investigation involving alleged child molestation. As a result of that investigation Therious Nakia Anderson, 45, of Broxton, was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. Anderson made a first appearance bond hearing and his bond has been denied.

 

On October 15, 2020, detectives with the Coffee County Criminal Investigation Division received a report of an alleged child molestation. An investigation was opened and as a result Cory Parker, 40, of Broxton, was arrested and charged with child molestation and sodomy. Parker made a first appearance bond hearing and his bond was denied.   

 

On October 25, Deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to and address on GA Highway 32 E to a domestic dispute. The incident involved a male subject at the location that had assaulted and threatened a female at the location. Upon deputies’ arrival the male subject had fled the residence. The Coffee County Criminal Investigation Division responded to the location. A short time later the male subject was location and identified as Dickie McLendon. McLendon was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. McLendon was charged with one count of aggravated assault (family violence) and one count of battery (family violence). McLendon made his first appearance bond hearing and bond was denied.

 

 

On October 21, 2020, the Coffee County Drug Unit served a search warrant at a residence in the Oak Park Community. As a result of the search warrant, Joshua Demond McGinty, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession and use of drug related items. That same day, a search of McGinty’s listed address on probation resulted in the seizure of additional marijuana. Subsequently, Santita Stanley was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession and use of drug related objects. Both subjects were transported to the Coffee County Jail after their arrest.
