Johnnie “Beamon” Nettles, age 69, of Ashburn, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Mr. Nettles was born on January 8, 1953, in Douglas, GA to the late Edith Nettles.

Survivors include: Wife: Linda Nettles of Ashburn, GA, Daughter: Jennifer Nettles of New York, NY, Son: Johnnie Nettles Jr. of Douglas, GA, Two Step-daughters: Kristy  (Tony) Hall-Smith of Roanoke, AL, and Melissa (Greg Shepherd) Palmer of St. Paul, IN, Two Stepsons: Ashly Cox of Atlanta, GA, and Michael (Melissa Anderson) Palmer of Port Royals, SC, One Sister: Eileen (Mike) Maxwell of Douglas, GA, Six Grandchildren: Magnus Miller, Ethan Nettles, Cameron Nettles, Riley Smith, Reese Smith, Rayna Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nettles was preceded in death by his mother Edith Nettles.

The family had a private visitation Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Private Funeral Services were held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Mike Maxwell officiating.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
