Mr. Albert Ronald Hester, age 70 of Douglas, passed away early Sunday morning, November 13, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Hester was born May 5, 1952 to the late Albert Hester and the late Opal Chaney Murphy. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: His Step-Father: Jerome Murphy; 2 Sisters: Othelia Hall and Carolyn Major and 1 Granddaughter: Hope McSwain.
Mr. Hester, a native of Homerville, GA, was employed with Elixir Industries in the Door Division. He was a member of Broxton Church of God. Mr. Hester was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

9 Grandchildren: Sarah McSwain, Jacie McSwain, Allen McSwain, Austin Burke, Jeremiah Burke, Savannah Perkins, Bella Perkins, Dakota Benefield and Gage Benefield.
A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends
The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. The interment will follow at Full Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery near West Green.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Broxton Church of God.
Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Wayne Nall, Chris Merritt, Ronnie Patton, Elzie Graham, Ted Burke and Gordon Carver.
