Rita Genavi Manning, age 59, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Manning was born on December 6, 1954 in Lake City, FL to the late John Washington Manning, Jr. and Irene Raulerson Manning, Jr.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Missy (Jamie) Tarrant of Nicholls, GA and Becky (Chris) Graves of Douglas, GA; four sisters, Gerrie Crews of Macclenny, FL, Carylon (Nathaniel) Crews of Macclenny, FL, Faye Manning of Starke, FL, and Barbara Manning of St. Augustine, FL; eleven grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Church Cemetery in MacClenny, FL. Music is furnished for the service by CD “Beulah Land” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, and Brittany Bazemore “Amazing Grace”. Active Pallbearers are: Doug Davis, Johnny Tarrant, Chris Graves, and Jamie Tarrant.
