Stanford Day, age 64, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Day was born on June 19, 1956 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Charles Edward and Floyce Lott Day.
Mr. Day was a commercial beekeeper, a member of Farm Bureau Board, a member of New Corinth Calvary Holiness Church where he was a Secretary/Treasurer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Wayne Day and a sister, Joyce Gay.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Day of Broxton, GA; daughter, Stephanie Lawrence (James) of Broxton, GA; son, Steven Day (Misty) of Ludowici, GA; sister, Glenda Ann Johnson (James) of Hazlehurst, GA; five brothers, Charles Day (Judy) of Apopka, FL, Johnny Day (Marla Sue) of Ambrose, GA, Jerome Day of Broxton, GA, Ronnie Day (Selena) of Wray, GA and Jimmy Day (Brenda) of Wray, GA; sister-in-law, Sandra Day Spivey of Wray, GA; six grandchildren, Taylor Jade Day, Walter Andrew Day, Railynn Drew Day, Matthew James Lawrence, William Edward Lawrence and Morgan JoAnna Day; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 22, 2021 from 6pm until 9pm at Calvary Holiness Campground.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Calvary Holiness Campground with Rev. Jody Silvers, Rev. Vernon Hughes and Rev. Andrew Bellah officiating. Interment will follow at New Corinth Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Day, Kevin Day, Eddie Smith, Todd Moseley, Jonathan Day and Terry Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Day’s Sunday School Class, Danny O’Neal, Reggie Wilbanks, Charlie Ricketson, Mike Smith, Farm Bureau Board Members and Zack Padgett.
