Christopher Hernandez, age 23, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from injuries sustain in an auto accident. Mr. Hernandez was born on June 10, 1998 in Nashville, Tennessee the son of Fernando and Irma Gomez Hernandez.

 

Christopher worked in construction and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Douglas, Georgia.

 

Survivors include parents, Fernando & Irma Hernandez of Douglas, GA; daughter, Adalynn Hernandez of Douglas, GA; brother, Christian Hernandez of Douglas, GA; paternal grandmother, Lourdes Alcala of Mexico; maternal grandparents, Isabel Banda & J. Ascension Gomez of Mexico; mother of his child, Tierany Griffin of Douglas, GA.

 

The family will receive friends Monday evening November 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Paul O’Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sims Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
