Former Trojan and current Georgia Bulldog Keegan McGovern led off the fourth inning yesterday against the LSU Tigers with a solo home run that tied the game at one run apiece. McGovern’s home run also ended LSU ace Jared Poche’s scoreless inning streak at 32. It was the first run Poche has given up all year long.
The Tigers went on to win the game 5-1.
McGovern, a junior outfielder, is hitting .305 with two home runs and seven RBI this year for Georgia. The Bulldogs are 8-12 overall and 0-2 in the Southeastern Conference.
