The No. 25 South Georgia State College Hawks won their fourth consecutive game Tuesday night, cruising past the junior varsity team from Reinhardt University, 111-72.
Five players scored in double figures, led by Bryce Brown’s 19 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Will Ferguson, Collins Joseph and Tafari Thomas each had 13 points, while Daniel Parrish finished with 12 points.
The Hawks (12-1) dominated other statistical categories, forcing 26 turnovers, grabbing a total of 47 rebounds, and getting 15 steals. As a team, the Hawks shot 54.7 percent from the field and missed only two free throws.
Tuesday’s win follows a sweep of the B-Mac’s Christmas Classic in Waycross this past weekend where SGSC defeated Summer Hill Post Graduate Academy 80-67 and Combine Academy 80-54. Joseph, Jalen King and Antonio Vendola were each named to the All-B-Mac Basketball Christmas Classic Team.
