Bad things happen at 2 a.m. Bad things are more likely to happen at 2 a.m. if you’re riding around in the back of a pickup sitting on a cooler while allegedly intoxicated.
According to an incident report, on July 12, 2026, a Douglas police officer saw a gray Chevrolet truck on Walker Street with an individual sitting in the back on a cooler. The officer initiated a traffic stop and discovered the person sitting in the back, identified as Jaquan Nique Gordon, appeared to be intoxicated. He also had an active warrant for theft of services through the sheriff’s office.
Gordon was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. He was booked into the jail on the theft of services warrant and released on a $1,000 property bond. The driver of the truck was not charged with anything.
