Jackie Byron Dixon, age 68 of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Dixon was born on August 3, 1957 in Coffee County, GA, to the late Jack Byron Dixon and Bonnie Dixon Pridgen.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kristi Dixon Smith of St. Augustine, FL; one son, Matthew Dixon of Middleburg, FL; four grandchildren, Sierra Waters (Tyler Sherer), Kelli Dixon, Isabella Dixon and Zane Dixon; and one sister, Julie (Robert) Hewitt of Broxton, GA.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2025, at 11:00 am at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Edsel Young and Rev. Joey Dean officiating. The interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
Active pallbearers will be: Hayden Hewitt, Zane Dixon, Tyler Sherer, Jeffrey Smith, Eddie Smith, and Randall Smith.
