Mr. Jeffrey Whitney Wade, Sr., age 68, of Ambrose, Georgia, passed away Wednesday evening, December 3, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.
Jeffrey was born February 28, 1957, in Douglas, Georgia, to Janet Kelly Wade and the late Luther Whitney Wade. He was a supervisor for Atlas Metal Buildings for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who found great pleasure in time spent fishing and gardening. He attended Grace Baptist Church. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Thacker, and a nephew, Jake Thacker.
Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Spivey Wade of Ambrose, Georgia; 2 children: Jacy Wade Pitts of Smyrna, Georgia and Jeffery Whitney Wade, Jr. of Lakeland, Georgia; 4 grandchildren: Brynn Pitts of Smyrna, Georgia, Braxton Pitts of Smyrna, Georgia, Hudson Wade of Lakeland, Georgia, Sara Jeffrey Wade of Lakeland, Georgia; a sister, Marsha Hatfield of Cedartown, Georgia; a brother, Brad Wade of Douglas, Georgia; a nephew, B. J. Wade of Atlanta, Georgia; along with a number of extended family members.
Jeffrey’s family will receive friends in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday afternoon, December 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held to honor Jeffrey at 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Perry Johnson, Rev. George Carroll Paulk, and Rev. Tim Parrish officiating.
