Mr. Jerry Clyde Lott, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Jerry was born November 3, 1948, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late D. B. Lott and the late Ruby Chaney Lott. He was a proud United States Army Veteran who honorably served during the Vietnam War. Following his military service he became a commercial truck driver and made a career driving for many years for Walmart before his retirement. Jerry was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time working in his yard and loved his cats. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Lott.
Jerry leaves behind a daughter, Stacy Paige Lott Hill of Douglas, Georgia; 4 grandchildren: Kaitlin, Meaghan, Owen and Evan; a sister, Winona Walker of Savannah, Georgia; a brother, Teddy Lott of Douglas, Georgia; and a lifelong friend, Kathy Mitchell, of Douglas, Georgia; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Jerry will be laid to rest in the Douglas City Cemetery at a later date. There are no services scheduled at this time.
