Jessie Yvonne Daniel, age 87, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Landings of Douglas. Mrs. Daniel was born on May 23, 1932 in Ambrose, GA, the daughter of the late Estel R. Jowers and Lovie Carver Jowers.
Mrs. Daniel was the former owner/operator of Gospel World Inc, Jacksonville, FL, for forty years and a member of North Jacksonville Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman Curtis Daniel.
Survivors include two daughters, Esther Chapman of Gainesville, FL and Doralyn Paulk of Ambrose, GA; three grandchildren, Daniel S. Paulk (Katy) of Ambrose, GA, Johnna H. Whitmore (Stewart) of Gainesville, FL and Jessica C. McGowan (Stephen) of Jacksonville, FL; nine great grandchildren, Rachel Paulk, Shelton Paulk, Chandler Paulk, Micajah Paulk, Jackson Paulk, Tripp Whitmore, Annie Stewart Whitmore, Tillman McGowan and Henry McGowan.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 10am until 11am prior to the service at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11:00am at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Rogers, Darryl Brown, Dennis Trowell, Jimmy Wall, Johnny Wayne Jowers and Jesse Jowers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of The Landings of Douglas.
Stacie Current will provide music singing, “Knowing What I Know About Jesus” and “It is Well with My Soul.” Carolyn Thompson, pianist, will play prelude and postlude music.
