Joanne Barbara Merritt age ,61, of Douglas GA, passed away on December 24, 2025. Mrs. Merritt was born May 4, 1964, in Providence Rhode Island, to the late Edward Halton Sr. and Barbara Halton.
Joanne was a homemaker and loved all of her animals. Joanne was loved by her family.
Her survivors include her beloved husband, Teddy Merritt of Douglas, GA; stepdaughter, Teara (Jose’) Diaz of Abbeville, GA; stepson, TJ (Amber) Merritt of Fitzgerald, GA; special sister and brother in law, Tonya Merritt and Telly Arnold of Douglas, GA; siblings: Edward Halton Jr., Diane Mellow, Kevin Halton, David Halton, Timothy Halton, Bethany Kellogg, Carl Halton, and Christopher Halton, along with fifty plus nieces and nephews.
